Headway Academy: Brain Injury Awareness Training Days

Monday 18th April and Monday 9th May

9:30am-4.00pm

Do you offer services to, or do you have clients that have suffered serious head injuries?

We can offer you and your employees a Brain Injury Awareness Training day

Headway Oxfordshire has almost 30 years experience of working in the community with people who have suffered serious brain injuries, their carers and families.

Our Headway Academy Training days are held at our Activity and Rehabilitation Centre in Kennington and are hosted by our team of Carers and Community Support workers.

By the end of the course you will be able to:

  • Describe what brain injury is and how it can affect people
  • Describe the range of support available to people with brain injuries
  • Develop effective strategies and use a person-centred approach with people with brain injuries
  • Explain the implications of the Care Act for service users with a brain injury and how professionals can assess effectively.
