Conflict amongst individuals or within teams can cause untold damage to an organisation, both to its service delivery and to its reputation. It can permanently damage working relationships as well as the well-being and effectiveness of individual staff members. It is one of the main reasons that staff leave organisations.

By the end of this course participants will be able to:

  • Describe a process for resolving conflict
  • Use practical tools for managing or resolving conflict between individuals
  • Identify the causes of conflict within teams
  • Describe strategies for preventing conflict between individuals and within teams
  • Describe methods of resolving conflict within teams.
