Oxfordshire Provider Conference 2017

Oxfordshire County Council and OACP are pleased to invite Oxfordshire-based providers to their joint conference on Friday 7 April 2017.

With plenary session by Kate Terroni, Director for Adult Social Care and workshops covering:

Oxfordshire Transformation Plan
Oxfordshire CCG will explain their ambition is to transform the Oxfordshire health and social care system to improve the health of the population, reduce inequalities, and deliver services that are high quality and cost effective.

Which sources of new care staff are you not yet using?
This workshop will help you discover new sources of high quality applicants in your local community. The workshop will be run by Neil Eastwood from Sticky People.

Government’s Proposals for Supported Housing
This workshop will provide an understanding of the government’s funding proposals for Local Housing Allowance for supported housing/Extra Care housing and its potential impact on the sector.

Co-Production
The workshop will describe the ambition of the county council to be a leader in designing and developing services with the people who will use them, and will work on opportunities for providers to be part of this process.

Telecare Options and Possibilities
This workshop will look at the type of equipment that can be installed in people’s homes to monitor their well-being. The workshop will explain the options and how to access this equipment.

How to attract more care staff applicants and pick the best
Is your recruitment process out of date? Learn how to sell the job better and efficiently screen to select quality care staff. The workshop will be run by Neil Eastwood from Sticky People.

Achievement of Trusted Assessments
This workshop will look at the information that care providers require to trust OCC’s assessments of care needs. The workshop will be most suitable for home care providers and care homes.

Business Support for Providers
This workshop will be run by OxLEP and will explain the business support services that are available to providers. A survey will be carried out before the provider event to find out about the type of support services required by businesses

20 ways to keep your care staff with you for longer
This session reveals the top 20 proven methods of reducing unnecessary frontline care staff loss. The workshop will be run by Neil Eastwood from Sticky People.

Care Homes Strategy
This workshop will explain how OOC’s Dynamic Purchasing System for care homes works. It will also explain the County’s Market Position Statement for care homes and the Council’s future commissioning intentions.
