Care Worker (Banbury-based)

Salary: From 16k; can be considerably more OR from £10ph

Closing Date: 30 Apr 2019

Company Name: Day and Nightcare Assistance

Nature of the Company: Established over twenty years ago, yet still family-run with the friendly flavour that brings, Day and Nightcare Assistance have long had a reputation for offering the very best care across Oxfordshire, provided by local teams in Oxford, Banbury, Witney and Wantage.
And just as importantly, we not only care for our clients, we care for our carers too!
So if you’re a friendly, people-person who likes to bring sunshine to others, we’d love you to hear from you.

Responsibilities: The home care role is the provision of appropriate care of elderly people in the comfort of their own homes, to promote their independence and well-being.

Day-to-day tasks are likely to include personal care (such helping with personal hygiene and dressing/undressing), social tasks (such as preparation of meals and laundry) and emotional support in accordance with a client’s wishes, working to an agreed care-plan.
We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable people who are friendly and enjoy helping other people, adding a touch of sunshine to the days of those who need a helping hand.

Although we are as flexible as possible, because we offer care from 7am until 10pm, it is likely that you will be required to cover some evening/weekend time slots: talk to our team to hear more.

If you can drive and have a car, then that's an absolute bonus!

Benefits: We offer a good initial training package, and regular additional opportunities to learn more skills and gain a QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care (Levels 2 and upwards) for those who wish.

We are able to offer our staff part-time, full time and live-in positions to suit their own family and lifestyle commitments.
Some staff work in and around Banbury; others prefer the dynamism of a post in which they help clients return home after a spell in hospital - this can involve longer journeys. If you are happy to drive a little further, the travel expenses you’ll receive (40p per mile) will cover petrol and also make a generous contribution to a car’s running costs.

We encourage our staff to be in salaried positions so carers continue to earn during their travel time. A salary (from 16k per annum; rising with experience, qualifications and other factors) also comes the additional benefits of greater job security, a pension scheme, paid holidays, and so on.

Experience: If you are a friendly people-person who is keen to care, then we can provide all the training you need.
