Personal Assistant (PA)/ Support Worker

Nature of the Company: We are a charity having worked to support adults with disabilities for over 30 years. We offer free DBS checks (if you stay with us for at least 6 months), access to work based pension and a 24 hours Employee Assistance helpline

Responsibilities: We are looking for people who have, ideally, worked with adults before in either a caring capacity (at work or a relative/friend) and/or experience of working with the public. Experience working with physical and learning disabilities especially useful, although training/support is given. You need to be a car driver with access to your own transport and be able to work at least 10 hours per week for us. Most of our support is delivered during "office hours"; little/no evening or weekend working expected (unless by agreement)
We are looking for people who have patience, empathy and can motivate and support our Clients to meet their goals. Our support is very much tailored to the individual. We are especially looking for people in Banbury, Thame, Oxford city, Wantage and Abingdon currently. Please let us know - if you live elsewhere - and are interested in a position with us

Special Requirements: Need to be able to travel reasonable distances to support Clients in their own homes - various locations throughout the county

Further Details: A full clean driving licence and business insurance is required as you may be required to drive your Client. The hours are dependent on availability - a degree of flexibility is required. Once you are matched to Clients you will visit the same Clients on an agreed day/time each week.
