Closing Date: 31 May 2018

Company Name: Brandon Trust

Nature of the Company: Brandon Trust is a UK charity working across Southern England and London, supporting over 1,600 people with learning disabilities and autism. We offer rewarding opportunities for support workers and provide full training and support to gain professional qualifications, in a career where you'll be valued.

Responsibilities: Discover a rewarding role, enabling individuals with learning disabilities and autism to live a life freedom. You’ll support them in all aspects of daily life and help them to increase their independence.

We support people who live in their own homes and in registered care and nursing homes. You’ll support people at home with everyday tasks, for example cooking, cleaning, managing finances and medication. Some of the people we support have complex needs and require support with their personal care, mobility and with eating and drinking. You’ll also support people to access their community to do the things they enjoy; for example, shopping, going out for meals, going to hydrotherapy sessions, going on outings - whatever they want to do!

We have full-time and part-time opportunities in Bicester, Banbury and Chalgrove.

Benefits: We provide full training, including the nationally recognised Care Certificate, as well as support to gain professional qualifications and develop your career. Our ‘Choices’ employment contract provides flexible benefits; you can personalise your holiday allowance and pension each year. We also offer a range of additional benefits such as childcare vouchers, a cycle to work scheme and study bursaries.

Experience: You’ll need to be compassionate and able to adapt your approach to individual needs. Good communication skills and a positive, friendly outlook are a must, as is patience. You’ll need to be flexible with shift and weekend work as most roles include a 24/7 rota. It’s also highly desirable (or in some cases, essential) that you have a full driving licence.
