We are looking to recruit a full time Team Leader to work in one of our services in Headington (37.5 hours) which includes one sleep-in a week as part of the rota.

About the role

Working in shifts as part of the team, you’ll provide direct care and support to the people we support and model best practice. You’ll lead and inspire your team to support individuals to maintain their independence and to achieve their aspirations.

You'll assist the locality manager in the supervision, coaching and mentoring of the team. Co-ordinate the daily provision of support and activities for people we support to ensure the delivery of a high quality, responsive and efficient service.

By tailoring your management style, you’ll support to your team based on their individual needs, goals and levels of experience. You’ll maintain employee engagement and performance through effective leadership, communication, supervision, appraisal and mentoring of all employees.

You’ll have finances and other resources to manage, along with legal requirements and standards of care to meet.

You’ll have some experience in a similar care role and to be able to demonstrate good team management and development skills. A confident problem solver and creative thinker with good communication skills, you’ll overcome challenges with commitment and enthusiasm.

You’re passionate about what you do and are committed to ensuring that your team has the tools and guidance it needs to deliver first-class and consistent support. You’re good at managing budgets and resources, and have an up-to-date knowledge of legislation and quality standards.

Team leaders work flexible shifts to provide a 24/7 service to people we support. Full-time team leaders work 37.5 hours plus one sleep-in a week (pay for sleep-ins included in annual salary above).

You have the option of working additional hours or sleep-ins in a range of services - paid at £50-£70 extra per sleep-in.
