Personal Statement

I have twenty-five years of experience supporting individuals on the autism spectrum with mental health issues and or learning disability. I am calm, patient and generally positive. I am a good problem solver, timekeeper, and very reliable.
I have an MA in Autism Adults at the University of Birmingham and Cert higher education children ASC.
I work in a person-centred manner, and I am happy to support the home and the community individually or as part of a team. I am experienced in supporting individuals who demonstrate behaviour that challenges and in writing positive behavioural support plans.
I am trained in PECS, Makaton and Intensive Interaction. I also provide mentoring, study skills and coaching.
