An enormous thank you to everyone who attended the Day of Action from our local area. We spotted:
If you were also there, please let us know.
Around 2,500 people took part in the protest which attracted considerable media and political attention. After marching on Parliament, rally participants sang Who Cares? in Parliament Square Gardens and some green-carded their MP for an instant meeting.
The event was really well organised by the core organising group.
Stewards were provided with fetching (highly sort-after collectable) hi-viz vests courtesy of SESCA...
And after receiving great hospitality from Church House and the birdie.care team, the march began...
Police gave great support as we arrived at College Green with a very clear message for Government...
Passing traffic was honk-ingly supportive and people who use services were prominent across the whole rally...
It's straightforward.
Care for social care and the NHS will fix itself.
