As part of CQC's better regulation, better care public consultation, which closed at the end of 2025, one of the proposals was to introduce separate assessment frameworks that are more specific and relevant to the health and care sectors that CQC regulates.

LIVE-DEM
This study, led by the University of Southampton, is the first study conducted about live-in care when dementia is the primary support need. The study aims to research live-in care from multiple perspectives to improve clarity and provide evidence that will help families navigate the long-term care system, and policymakers develop and improve this form of homecare.
